Save The Date

Our first round of save the dates have gone out. It took a lot longer than I thought to get everything working with my Gocco and to get our paper. There is also no way I'm going to do handmade envelopes again for the invites, yikes they were annoying. We still have about 50 more to finish and send out, hopefully they will all be done this weekend. I'll take some photos and post them soon.

Gocco thou art finally mine

After much arm twisting and convincing me and B. finally walked into Eckerslys and halved a Gocco. I am completely over the moon!

I ordered all my paper for my save the dates last night, it's all from a company in Tassy Planetwise Paper, all recycled and handmade and oh so lovely. I can't wait to get them out, it'll make it all feel so real.

Our engagement party is happening on Australia Day, ee so close. It's been so hot lately that I realy hope it'll be bearable to be outside. Oh and there will be croquet! ee.

I brought this beautiful writing set a while ago from Poppies for Grace, the trouble is I'm in lack of people to write to. I surprised my boyfriend one day my sending him a note when he had just moved house which was lots of fun. I think I'd like to write to people in Iceland or somewhere, that would be very cool. The exciting thing is that Poppies for Grace are about to release their first batch of wedding initiations, you can check out a sneak peak on their blog. Today has been one of those stay in pajamas days mm winter.

So for my very first post I'm going to tackle something that I've been obsessing over for a while, engagement rings. This past year so many of my friends have been getting engaged which is really great but I've been a little disappointed when I went to "Oooo" over the rings. I think there needs to be a little something more than gold band, diamond. So here is what I've found.

This gorgeous ring is from circa 1930s a site which specialise in antique style engagement rings.

These lovelies are available from Topazery they feature an aquamarine gem as opposed to a diamond, which I think is just as pretty.
